3rd Athens Flying Week

Athens Flying Week

Seven years ago, Athens Flying Week was born.

Here are some pictures I took during the 3rd AFW:

A Greek F-16 is flying above the Acropolis.

A Greek F-16 is shooting flares. | A Greek F-16 is diving.

A Greek F-16 just a few feet higher than sea level.

Since then it has become a special event for every airplane lover like myself.

Orange magic for two.

Hellenic Navy AB-212 ASW.

Hellenic Navy S-70B Sea Hawk.

Greek Army Aviation’s Boeing CH-47 Chinook.

Take off.

Quadruple take off.

At the same place, there is the home of Hellenic Air Force Museum.

You can find some really beautiful images to capture over there.

Greek Air Force’s F-5 and A7 Corsair. Hellenic Air Force Museum.

How to draw a “9” on the air, using 3 airplanes.

F-16 afterburner.

4 small acrobatic airplanes in line. | A Greek Army Apache is diving.

Next weekend, the 7th Athens Flying Week (AFW) Tanagra International Air Show 2018 is taking place at Tanagra airport.

Fly away.

Four acrobatic airplanes just before their show.

Any Air Show around the world is a unique experience and a great way to take some pictures you will remember; especially if the weather is rainy, as it was on that day back in 2014.

See you all there on 22 & 23 September 2018!
